Summer Phlox
(Phlox paniculata)

Phlox comes
in all colors from darkest magenta to white. The
sweet-scented tubular flowers are attractive to moths,
butterflies and hummingbirds.
The English
settlers found these plants blooming on the edges of glades and
selectively bred them for color and hardiness.
They like
moist soil and will flourish in full sun or partial shade. |
