The Front Gardens are the
plantings along the sidewalks in front of the Center and in the
beds in front of the wall on the east side of the Center.
The beds on the west side of
the sidewalk are rain garden beds. The plants in these
gardens do well in soil that is often wet from runoff. The
land slopes down to the Center and there are water drains at the
base of the slope.
The plantings on the west
side of the pathways are devoted to plants that appeal to
butterflies, moths and their caterpillars. Remember, if
