Passport to Adventure

The Kansas City’s Passport to Adventure is a free annual program sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Interpretive Site Coalition (ISC). Every year hundreds of families participate in the kickoff and throughout the summer visiting participating sites. It is a great way to explore some of the amazing nature and history “treasures” of the Kansas City metro area.
The passport booklet can be picked up at any participating ISC site April – October while supplies last. (See Participating Sites Kansas or Missouri on home page) Families and/or individuals have until October 31 of each year to complete the required number of visits noted on Page 3 of the Passport booklet. Passport sites include KC metro area nature centers, museums, gardens, historical sites, and education centers. When visiting each site, answer the “hunt” question and get your page stamped, once you visit the designated number of sites, hand in Page 2 of your booklet or have the site stuff make a copy of it. You can do this at any participating site and you will be entered into the price drawing held in November of each year.
The KC’s Passport booklet is a great resource for anyone looking for places to visit in the Kansas City area. Keep it in your car as a fun way to find a weekend outing for you or the the family!
Join us on Saturday, April 4 from 10:00-12:00 at Lakeside Nature Center to learn more!
